Today (November 28th), the National Healthcare Security Administration issued the "National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance, and Maternity Insurance Drug Catalog (2024)", which will be officially implemented from January 1st, 2025.

In this year's adjustment, 91 new drugs have been added to the national medical insurance drug catalog, of which 89 have been included through negotiation/bidding, and 2 selected drugs from national centralized procurement have been directly included. At the same time, 43 drugs that have been replaced clinically or have not been produced and supplied for a long time have been withdrawn. Among the 117 drugs outside the catalog that participated in negotiations/bidding this year, 89 were successfully negotiated or bid, with success rates and price reductions comparable to previous years. After this round of adjustment, the total number of drugs in the national medical insurance drug list reached 3159, including 1765 western medicines and 1394 traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations. There are 892 types of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces.
